Biomarker Ranges

This table provides details about the influence of predictors to a health domain.

The data returned in this table allows you show the impact a particular biomarker has on a health domain (data is returned in the predictor_statistics object in the response JSON). For example, the diagram below provides quick assessment where biomarker results fall within Lab and VMR targeted ranges. In the example, Cystatin C is falling within the Laboratory Reference Range and Voloridge Modeled Range. The value of 0.88 mg/L is falling in the 'average' health multiplier range for this biomarker as it relates to cardiovascular health.

Health domains

Below is a list of the returned values as part of the response object by the scoring event. These are the values returned in the disease_obs_code field and represent a health domain.

CodeHealth DomainTypeDescription
ARDKidney HealthnumberAcute Renal Disease occurs when the kidneys begin to lose their function.
MortalityLongevitynumberAll-cause mortality is death from any disease.
COPDRespiratory HealthnumberChronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a class of progressive lung diseases that results in difficulty breathing.
DementiaBrain HealthnumberDementia is an age-related condition resulting from accumulated damage to brain and nerve cells, leading to cognitive and physical decline that interferes with the ability to function in daily life.
LiverLiver HealthnumberLiver Disease refers to a set of conditions that prevent the proper function of the liver.
MACE3Cardiovascular HealthnumberA Major Adverse Cardiac Event (MACE) is a heart or blood vessel related event that negatively impacts a person's health. Examples include heart disease, stroke, heart attack, heart failure, or other adverse coronary outcomes.
T2DMetabolic HealthnumberType 2 Diabetes (T2D) occurs when the body develops a resistance to insulin, or the pancreas fails to produce enough insulin. This results in the body being unable to process and use sugar properly.

Laboratory Reference Range

The Lab reference range can be derived by the absolute_min and absolute_max values returned in the response table for the biomarker entry,

Voloridge Modeled Range

The Voloridge Modeled Range (VMR) is represented by the optimal_min and optimal_max values in the table. The Voloridge Modeled Range (VMR) represents a sex specific biomarker range associated with the highest level of health and wellness in the health domains listed. The VMR is derived from unbiased, data-driven analyses across multiple biomarkers and health domains.
